With the growing issues of survival of the planet earth we need to make the planet green and clean to lead a healthy life. For this we need to have sustainability in every aspects of our life. Sustainability is the latest and one of the top trends globally. Every industry has been trying to be more sustainable and have less damage to the environment. This includes the fashion industry also. Sustainable fashion is also called as eco fashion. Most of the brands in the world have been trying to make their brands a sustainable brand and make less damage.

There were many brands that had started with sustainable fashion and were the early adopters. But the fast fashion industry became only sustainable after the incident of Rana Plaza in Bangladesh. H&M was one brand whose image was affected a lot by the incident. But that incident was like an eye opener to the world about how the fashion industry also could be a threat to the environment. Sustainability became a brand that everyone wants to own.

It also means have a fair trade system to avoid exploitation of the labours who make the garments. After the Rana Plaza incident and exploitation of cotton farmers, in India fair trade became an important point to look on with sustaiablity. Fair trade kind off became a part of sustainable fashion.

Eco fashion a step or an initiative taken to help save the environment and also have a fair trade and let the consumers know who is the one producing the garments. With bigger brands adopting sustainability, it has led to other brands also become sustainable.
